In the MicroSure products, we have developed a method of suspending crystalized silica dioxide (SiO2) particles in a de-ionized water-based solution, thus creating a chemically inert solution that can be applied harmlessly to almost any surface.
The surface layer we spoke of is formed of crystalline structures- let's call them spikes- that penetrate the cell wall of biologically dangerous organisms, resulting in a process we call a "mechanical kill".
Recent advancements in science have enabled us to create nano-sized particles composed of inorganic, inert materials. Our MicroSure products use fast-acting nano-particulate silica that prevents bacteria and virus particles from attaching to surfaces.
The result of the application is a new MicroSure surface that is only 4-5 nanometers in size. This layer covalently bonds to all non-porous surfaces to which it has been applied. To give you an idea of small how those crystals are, the size of a human red blood cell is 7 micrometers, which is more than 1000x the thickness of our coating.
This "mechanical kill" differs from the usual chemical kill processes that have historically been used to combat viruses, bacteria, and fungi, in that MicroSure products do not contain toxic chemicals that can end up in the environment, causing as much damage as they were intended to prevent in the first place. Eventually, the MicroSure nano-surface will be abraded off and will need to be reapplied. The rate of abrasion depends on the frequency with which the surface encounters other surfaces, but our 8HD hand sanitizer lasts up to 8 hours and the MicroSure All-Purpose Cleaner and Disinfectant can last up to 30 days!
The longevity, combined with the efficacy that MicroSure products show in eliminating harmful biological organisms, make MicroSure by far the best choice for eliminating viruses, bacteria and fungi in any environment.
